It’s shocking that despite Annie Oakley’s legacy, Oakley hasn’t cashed in more on Little Sure Shot’s name. Enter Annie Oakley’s, a new bar in the neighborhood seemingly plucked out of the Wild West. It has saloon doors, historical photography, and a player piano that, despite sounding old-timey, plonks out modern pop songs. Mosey on up to the bar (it’s engraved with a timeline of Annie Oakley’s exploits and riddled with real bullets) and order one of the many themed cocktails, mocktails, and shooters.

In the Old West tradition, most of the mixed drinks have a whiskey or tequila base, but the more harddrinking cowpoke will appreciate the vast collection of straight whiskey and bourbon, including High West, Kentucky Owl, Suntory Toki, Weller, Colonel E.H. Taylor, and Blanton’s. If you’re looking for something refreshing after a hot summer’s day, the Western Sunset (blanco Tequila, Aperol, lemon juice, bitters, elderflower, and soda water) is the perfect tart cooldown. For fans of sweet drinks, the Double Shoot (vodka, passionfruit, vanilla, and prosecco back) is like a boozy swig of vanilla ice cream with a bubbly prosecco chaser. Just don’t try to split a playing card in half after enjoying one.
