Top 5 Things to Do This Week

Bill Murray is a prince among men. Oh, and here are our favorite things going on this week.

1. While Chabot, Wenstrup, and Portman have been avoiding town hall meetings like the plague, not all public officials are afraid of community forums. In February, Metro CEO Dwight A. Ferrell launched a coffee shop listening tour to hear out the concerns of riders. Your next opportunity to talk transit with Ferrell is Tues, March 7 from 8:30–9:30 a.m. at Lookout Joe. Mt. Lookout Square.

2. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra performs George Gershwin’s iconic 1924 composition, Rhapsody in Blue, at the Taft Theater on Thurs, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. (and again on Fri, March 10 at 8 p.m. and Sun March 9 at 2 p.m.).

3. C-LINK Gallery at Brazee Studios in Oakley hosts an opening reception for their latest exhibition, which features serigraphs by Leslie Shiels and landscape drawings from Kevin T. Kelly. Fri March 9, 6–8 p.m. Through April 7, 2017.

4. “I got to get into this dude’s pelt and crawl around for a few days.”—Carl Spackler, Caddyshack. Time to dress up as your favorite Bill Murray character (how to choose!)  and hop aboard The Bill Murray Bar Crawl: Streetcar Edition, presented by Keep Your Shirt on Covington. Fri, March 10, 7–11 p.m. $30.

5. KJ Sanchez directs Polly Teale’s adaption of Charlotte Bronte’s classic Jane Eyre, which opens its run at Playhouse in the Park’s Marx Theater. Sat, March 11, 8 p.m.
