Sauerkraut lovers — come one, come all! The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville, Ohio is made for you. Take your pick from sauerkraut pizza, German sundaes, egg rolls, Polish cabbage soup, and many more flavor-packed items. No matter what you’re craving (even if you aren’t a sauerkraut fanatic), you are guaranteed to leave the festival feeling full and satisfied.
As a family-friendly event, The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival welcomes live entertainment and over 450 artisans selling handcrafted items. Festival-goers can peruse tents filled with photography, clothing, jewelry, baskets, soaps, wood crafts, metalwork, ceramics, and much more.
The festival began in 1970, serving 528 pounds of sauerkraut to 1500 visitors. Today, it serves seven tons of sauerkraut and draws a crowd of around 400,000 visitors from around the nation.
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival will be held on October 13 and 14 on Main Street in Waynesville, Ohio.
