So your last name’s not Corbett or Nippert or Haile. That doesn’t mean you can’t directly contribute to making Cincinnati better. Maybe you already are, in small ways, and would like to go bigger. Maybe you want to get your kids involved, to teach them the importance of giving back. But where do you start?
Easy-peasy: The Greater Cincinnati Foundation’s family philanthropy toolkit. It outlines five steps to make your giving smart and meaningful. Complete them all, and by the end of the process, your clan will be able to leave a significant legacy that helps the region build and grow.
Your journey begins with a single task: identifying your giving style. GCF helps you by offering a values and issues inventory sheet, along with additional questions for consideration. And we’re loving these questions: If you could wave a magic wand and make a difference in the world, what would you change? Or if you had a $100,000, how would you distribute it?
Use your answers to identify what motivates you to give, and you’re on your way. You can even discuss the toolkit with real live Greater Cincinnati Foundation giving gurus by calling (513) 241-2880 or e-mailing them here.
