Watson’s of Cincinnati isn’t just your pool store.
In case you somehow missed the buzz, Watson’s unveiled a 100,000 square-foot-showroom this year — with a store within a store, an accessories line and even a 40,000-square-foot indoor furniture department.
They have certified interior designers who can help you design you space or even special order furniture to meet your exact style preference .
Here are 5 hot trends in indoor furniture, courtesy of their design experts:
Like a couch, but want a different color? How about a dining table in a finish that complements your wood floor? Maybe a sofa with a specific arrangement — like an ottoman here, a chaise lounge there? You can special order to fit your style and space.
The majority of furniture orders so far this year have been custom — and that doesn’t have to mean more expensive or even more wait time. All the major indoor furniture brands that Watson’s carries — including Bernhardt, Jonathan Louis, Lexington, Rowe and more — allow you to special order.
There is no extra cost within the same grade of fabric.
When you go furniture shopping, you’ll need to decide a few things: the size of your space, if you prefer leather or upholstery and whether you want to stick with neutrals or an accent color.
Perhaps you dream of building a relaxing sanctuary with softer colors. Maybe you want a neutral option and you’ll add accent colors elsewhere. Creative types may prefer to go bold, like a deep emerald or an ultraviolet.
Whatever you decide, there are thousands — no, literally, thousands — of colors in fabric swatches or wood finishes to choose from at Watson’s.

- High Performance Fabric
If you think you can’t have white sofas because you have pets or children, think again. It all comes down to the fabric.
More than 70 percent of the furniture you’ll see on the Watson’s showroom floor is high performance fabric. That means it has been scientifically tested to be durable and cleanable. Most things can be spot cleaned or wiped off. In other words, it’s meant to be lived in.
And coming soon to the Watson’s showroom is a new line of furniture called Washable from Rowe Furniture. Just remove the cover, toss in your washing machine and bam — it looks just like brand new again.
- Home Theater
Home theater seating isn’t just for the home theater anymore. More and more homes are choosing home theater seating — from a single chair or 5-piece arrangement — to add to their living rooms or basements.
Sure, it’s great for those movie marathons or binge watching Netflix in ultimate comfort. It’s also increasing popular among sports fanatics.
But it can fit anywhere you like to kick back, grab a snack and recline in ultimate comfort. Want a tray table to hold your popcorn, a wine glass holder or a spot to prop your iPad? No problem.
