The Wee Folk Magic of Art Festival

The Wee Folk Magic of Art Festival is a thing, and it’s delightful.

Stuff your purse with fairy dust and press your best superhero cape for the 6th Annual Wee Folk Magic of Art Festival. Families can join in on more than 20 free (!) activities celebrating the wonder of (and necessity for) art in every child’s life. Hosted by Covington’s Goebel Park, the festival also has the requisite food, crafts, free entertainment, and even a foot parade that’s bound to be too whimsical for words. Local non-profits 4C for Children and Children, Inc. will be on hand to offer parents ideas for bringing art experiences into the home—hopefully without wrecking the carpet.

And, there are free balloons for every child. Because whether you’re 8 or 80, nothing says fun like sucking the helium out of a balloon and shouting, “Clap if you believe in fairies!”

October 4, 11 a.m.–2 p.m Goebel Park, Covington; Free tickets available online.
