Summer Break 2015 Roundup: Bricks4Kids

91

Like most working parents you probably had your summer camp matrix dialed by the end of March. No? Well believe it or not, there’s still time to tap into dozens of camps throughout the city. Case in point: Bricks4Kids is a Lego-based program that uses everyone’s favorite colorful Danish blocks to introduce architecture and engineering concepts through model building. Camps are organized by age and theme, with topics like stop-motion animation, junior robotics, space adventures, and mining and crafting. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered and camps can be combined for a full day of fun. Bricks4Kids also offers after-school classes, birthday parties, and field trips so your budding Mies van der Rohe can get a brick fix throughout the year. We wish we could tell you that Lego camp means an end to hundreds of blocks on the floor of your family room. Your camper’s inspiration may have the opposite effect. Consider your bare feet warned. bricks4kidz.com
