While I love a good washable marker as much as the next parent, Crayola doesn’t have to monopolize our children’s early art experiences. Family First Saturdays at the Cincinnati Art Museum offer hands-on activities and art explorations tailored to pint-sized Picassos. Families with children of all ages are welcomed the first Saturday of each month for performances, demonstrations, storytelling, art making, and every kids’ favorite: scavenger hunts. Parental favorite? It’s free, and reservations aren’t required.

February 7, 12 – 4 p.m., Cincinnati Art Museum, 953 Eden Park Dr., cincinnatiartmuseum.org
