If your favorite pastime is gawking at beautifully landscaped homes (or you just want to take the air in a lovely setting) this tour may be the Sunday activity for you. The Madisonville Beautification Committee is holding its annual Garden Tour to spotlight neighborhood’s best homes and residential and community gardens. Show up at the “pocket park” (otherwise known as a teeny park) at the corner of Madison Road and Whetsel Avenue any time between noon and 4 p.m. to begin the tour. And you can come hungry—they’ll be serving burgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks throughout the afternoon at the Lighthouse Community School’s garden.

June 28, 12 p.m.–4 p.m. Pocket Park, 5901 Madison Rd., Madisonville. Tickets $10, available in advance at The French Rendezvous, 6124 Madison Rd. or the Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, 5906 Madison Rd., or at start of tour. Free admission for children 12 and under.
