What’s the first thing you think of when we say “soy sauce?” Is it Kentucky Bourbon? It just might be after Nectar Restaurant’s “A Night With Bourbon Barrel Foods.”
The evening’s menu is filled with bourbon barrel-made ingredients, so each meal has a subtle touch of the “warm Kentucky hug.” Don’t miss the mushroom bowl, with “Kentuckyaki” sauce and soy sauce, both aged bourbon barrels. The pepper and paprika used in the tuna sashimi and the roasted squash are smoked with bourbon barrel wood.
Matt Jamie, owner and founder of Bourbon Barrel Foods, will be on hand to talk about creating the first and only soy sauce microbrewery in the country.
