The Bride Wore: Carmela Sutera, Alexia’s Bridal Boutique, Raleigh. Invitations: M. Hopple & Co. Couple’s Current Home: Lexington, Ky. Bride’s Profession: Sales. Groom’s Profession: Lawyer. Wedding Planner: Peter Frey. Bride’s Hair and Makeup: Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa. Band: Greg Lee and the Chuck Taylors. Groom’s Cake Surprise: Jennifer planned a special surprise for Nick, a groom’s cake made by A Spoon Fulla Sugar that was a custom basketball jersey showing off his two favorite teams, Wake Forest and Duke. Cheers!: The couple put a lot of thought into which cocktails would best represent them. Because of Nick’s taste for bourbon and Jenni’s Kentucky roots, mint juleps seemed to be the best fit. The second signature cocktail, Blushing Bride, was a mix of two of the bride’s favorite things—champagne and the color pink (raspberries).
