Near Newport? We’ve got your lunch covered. Stop in to Factory Buvette and Bar, the coffee/breakfast/lunch spot from German restaurateurs Marcus Repp and Detlef Koeppe, the duo behind Steinhaus in Florence (the restaurant was featured in our Best of the City 2013 issue for their meter-long wurstpfanne sausage). Factory, located in the Monmouth Row development, is modeled after wine bar/coffee shop hybrids that are common in their home country and if last Friday’s lunch was any indication, these hybrids are poised to be successful in Northern Kentucky as well.
From light and flaky croissants to decadent three-cheese (gouda, swiss, and gruyere) grilled cheese sandwiches to paninis loaded down with roast beef and Black Forest ham, you’re going to find something stave of the mid-day munchies.
