Katharina’s Café-Konditorei, 736 Washington Ave. in Newport, has closed. The restaurant is reviewed in the Dining Out section of Cincinnati Magazine’s January 2018 issue, which is being delivered to subscribers this week, and the unexpected closing occurred after the issue went to press.
Katharina’s owner Elena Hambuch confirmed its permanent closure to Cincinnati Magazine but declined to provide further details. We’re sorry to lose one of our favorite new restaurants and wish the Hambuch family well.
