If you’re looking for an art exhibit that compiles two centuries of art in one collection, then that’s just what a day trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art has to offer this summer.
19 Stars of Indiana Art: A Bicentennial Celebration at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which opened May 15, is a celebration of men and women born and raised in Indiana who created art and fashion. The exhibit celebrates Indiana’s bicentennial, and spans 200 years of the IMA’s collection, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and fashion. On view is work from artists such as Halston, Michael Graves, William J. Forsyth, and George Rickey—just to name a few.
