Columbus Arts Festival

290

Start your summer outdoors and with some art at next weekend’s Columbus Arts Festival. Now in its 53rd year, the festival brings together artists and crafters from all over, including hundreds of juried artists—and it now calls the downtown riverfront, along the revitalized Scioto Mile park, home.

If you’re looking for local, Columbus-area artists and artist collectives will come together in the local arts tent to exhibit and sell their work, such as glassware, ceramics, painting, illustration, sculpture, and jewelry. Plus, several will be offering hands-on, make-and-take art demos.

Three entertainment stages offer a schedule of dance, theatre, music, spoken word, storytelling, and poetry. Starting this year, there will also be a film component: the Columbus Film Council is partnering to show some of the best films from the Columbus International Film + Video Festival.

If you have little ones in tow, they have plenty planned for kids, too, like building a kite or sculpting glass beads. And there will, of course, be plenty to eat and drink.

Free admission, June 6–8, columbusartsfestival.org
