Xavier University’s class of 2016 was in primary school when Over-the-Rhine descended into riots after the police shooting of unarmed 19-year-old Timothy Thomas.

Now the school seeks to place those events in their historical context and to reflect on the city’s future with a town hall discussion entitled “15 Years Later: The Cincinnati Riots and the Future of the City.” Panel participants include Al Gerhardstein, Rev. Damon Lynch, III, Iris Roley, Cpt. Maris Herold, Brian Taylor, and moderator Donna Jones Baker. The event is free and open to the public.
