FAQ

What is Cincinnati 300?
This first-of-its-kind publication, produced by Cincinnati Magazine, celebrates the region’s 300 most powerful business leaders across myriad industries: banking and finance; consumer goods; culture and tourism; education and health; entrepreneurship; manufacturing; nonprofits and government; professional services; and real estate. The collective reach and impact of this powerful group of top executives is nothing short of amazing.

How were the 300 featured business leaders selected?
The Cincinnati 300 list began with close to 1,000 executives across multiple industries in Greater Cincinnati. After months of research we edited the list by focusing (with very few exceptions) on just the top leader at each company and organization—or, in the case of businesses headquartered out of town, on the highest ranking Cincinnati-based leader. Criteria used in the editing process included the size and scope of each company and organization, special awards or accolades in the executives’ professional lives, and participation in community endeavors, such as positions on economic development and nonprofit boards.

Is there a cost to participate?
No. Cincinnati 300 is strictly an editorial-based program, and the 300 business leaders selected will appear in the publication regardless of whether or not they complete the online form. The profiles will be more engaging to readers if they contain both professional and personal insights.

Do you require a photo of each business leader?
Yes. Photos should be uploaded as part of the online form here.

Can I fill out the bio form on behalf of a featured executive?
Yes. The easiest way to do this is to use the online form here. We have incorporated “Save & preview” functions so you can fill it out, the executive can review or edit, and you can submit at a later date. Deadline for final submissions: August 31.

What happens if we don’t fill out the bio form?
All 300 selected business leaders will be featured in Cincinnati 300 with profiles written by our editorial staff, but certain biographical and personal information won’t be included without his or her input.

When will Cincinnati 300 be printed and how will it be distributed?
The second issue will be printed as a stand-alone glossy magazine by the publishers of Cincinnati Magazine in 2020. Total distribution is 35,000 copies via direct mail to key business executives and businesses; delivery with a monthly issue of Cincinnati Magazine to all subscribers; and placement in corporate offices, business and recreational clubs, and Delta Airlines and private aviation lounges.
