Vendor Visit: A Taste of The Delish Dish

Globally inspired cuisine that left us craving seconds

Local catering outfit The Delish Dish recently held a VIP tasting for local media, and oh was it delicious. The Cincinnati Wedding Magazine team stopped by The Hearth Room to sample Chef Mavis Linnemann-Clark’s globally inspired cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. It was all fantastic, but our favorites included the perfectly seasoned chicken legs with Cherry Bomb sauce, strawberry mini-cupcakes with delectable buttercream icing, and s’mores bourbon pudding cups with toasted marshmallows. “I regret not going back for seconds,” lamented Art Director Brittany Dexter.

As a “side gig” (where does she find the time?), Chef Linnemann-Clark creates original jams under the Made By Mavis brand, which is available at local retailers like Park+Vine, Madison’s at Findlay Market, and The Party Source, and was recently picked up by Whole Foods. Available in flavors like Apple Jalapeno Jelly (especially tasty on their cornbread biscuits) and Bourbon Barrel Stout Syrup (used in a yummy bourbon-based cocktail) she often uses the jams to add a little zip to her recipes.

The Delish Dish operates out of the Northern Kentucky Incubator Kitchen, and they take full advantage of the opportunity to work with fellow incubator vendors. Luckily for us, that meant we walked away with gift bags full of goodies from This Lady’s, Grateful Grahams, Whirlybird Granola, and Yankee Doodle Deli. Now that’s the icing on the strawberry mini-cupcake.
