Edward Francis McDonough and Mary Agnes Connolly McDonough were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cincinnati on April 27, 1904. The two are joined in this photo by the best man, Peter Mullen, and maid of honor, Marie Kelly. Edward, the son of Irish immigrants, was born in December 1870 and worked in Cincinnati as a railroad switchman. Mary was born in County Roscommon, Ireland, in November 1881. She later immigrated to Cincinnati. The couple had four children: Marie, Catherine, Alice, and John Joseph. This photo was provided by Jane McDonough Milne of Rockville, Maryland, who is John Joseph’s daughter.
