Take a look at this cute couple. Jennifer and Nick are Indian Hill High School sweethearts (awww!) and were married in August of 2011. College came around, and the couple spent four years in a long-distance relationship. Two years after they reunited in their new North Carolina home, Nick proposed.

Jennifer looked elegant in her Carmela Sutera gown from Alexia’s Bridal Boutique in Raleigh, and kept her accessories simple and classic. The bouquets and floral centerpieces were by Rosemary Ballard, English Rose Designs. Jennifer utilized wedding planner Peter Frey for the day’s events.

Nick’s favorite basketball teams, Wake Forest and Duke, were well-represented in the day, including his surprise custom basketball jersey cake by local bakery Spoon Fulla Sugar. The ceremony was held at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church and the reception was held at The Phoenix, where Greg Lee and the Chuck Taylors got everyone on their feet. The beautiful wedding cake was also created by Spoon Fulla Sugar. Signature cocktails represented the bride and groom: mint juleps celebrated Jennifer’s Kentucky roots and Nick’s love of bourbon, while Jennifer’s raspberry-laced Blushing Bride cocktail mixed her favorite drink, champagne, and her favorite color, pink.
