Romance sparked from Melanie’s and Mackenzie’s college friendship. After enduring three years of long distance, the couple reunited here to tie the knot.

The Phoenix photographer flew in at the last minute, never having met the brides prior to the wedding day. | Guest of Honor: Melanie and Mackenzie met Jim Obergefell, lead plaintiff in the Supreme Court case for marriage equality, at Cincinnati Pride the day after same-sex marriage became legal. Obergefell flew in from Washington, D.C., to attend the wedding and present a reading for the brides.
