Welcome to day five of our Local Wedding Blitz!

We couldn’t decide on just one favorite wedding, so we’re posting a different one every day for a week. Take a look at some of the best and brightest local Cincinnati weddings.

Ellen and Gene’s special day came on April 6th, 2013—after seven years of living an hour’s train ride away from each other (Boston to Providence for college and grad school), they were engaged on a rooftop overlooking downtown Boston.

Like any forward thinker, Ellen bought her dress a year in advance (!) and the couple planned a fresh take on a classic, traditional wedding that favored simplicity over opulence.

The whole wedding weekend was designed to show off their hometown of Cincinnati to their East Coast friends, and proved to be a day they’d never forget!

Musician Jack Garrett helped the couple organize a smooth, seamless night and ensured that they actually had time to dance at the reception. One of the couple’s favorite memories of the day was dancing late into the night with their guests.
