Count on Uncle Karl to merge the best of couture with trendy athleisure. Herr Lagerfeld showed Chanel’s Spring 2016 couture collection at the Grand Palais this week, and the finale bridal look consisted of a tufted cotton dress encrusted with pearls and wood (yes, wood), worn with a matching train and—get this—a hooded jacket.
Wedding dresses are a big deal, and sure, you could wear a slinky mermaid dress or a princess-style ball gown. Or, you could take a cue from the runway and throw on a froufrou embellished hoodie in the name of keepin’ it real. Apparently, you’re in vogue either way.
