Best of Delhi Township

Robben Florist & Garden Center
Greenhouses like this are the reason Delhi Township is called “The Floral Paradise of Ohio.” Stop by for poinsettias and you may see Mr. Robben in his signature cap with a red robin glued on top. 352 Pedretti Rd., (513) 251-2737, www.robbenflorist.com

Wild Mike’s
When you visit the Delhi outpost of this west-side-only mini-chain, get the garlic buffalo wings with a side of their homemade blue cheese sauce, and keep plenty of napkins handy—they’re good and greasy. 5043 Delhi Pike, (513) 451-9464, www.wildmikeswings.com

The Delhi Skirt Game
One of the township’s most popular traditions is based on a simple premise: It’s funny to see grown men play softball while dressed in skirts, and it has been since 1977 (the bonus is that proceeds benefit neighbors in need). Delhi Twp. park, first Friday in August, www.delhiskirtgame.org

Embshoff Woods Frisbee golf course
This 333-acre park is mostly undeveloped to maintain natural habitat for critters—and that makes it ideal for Frisbee golf. The nine-hole course starts on the hill and winds its way through the woods. 4050 Paul Rd.

The view from Bender Mountain Trail
The connecting Bender Road Trail doesn’t “officially” open until next spring (until then,
you have to cross private property to reach Bender Mountain Trail), but the wait is worth it. The strenuous hike ends at a lookout that will take your breath away. Bender Road trailhead is at a large parking spot on Bender Road between River Road and the College of Mount St. Joseph.
