Good Luck: Week 14 NFL Picks

61

I went 7-9 picking games last week, which drops me to one game under .500 for the year. Through five weeks, I looked like a genius. The rest of the season has been a humbling experience, but I’m going to push through my embarrassment about all the failure to finish out the year. Hopefully I can turn things around at least a little. If it’s any consolation to all of you (and I’m sure it isn’t), I correctly predicted that the Steelers would blow out the Bengals. The playoff window is still open, but it’s starting to slide shut. More on that after the rest of my picks for Week 14.

Steelers (-14.5) over Browns
Colts (+17.5) over Ravens
Jets (-9.5) over Chiefs
Lions (-7.5) over Vikings
Redskins (+9.5) over Patriots
Saints (-3.5) over Titans
Eagles (+3.5) over Dolphins
Panthers (+2.5) over Falcons
Jaguars (+1) over Buccaneers
49ers (-3.5) over Cardinals
Broncos (-3.5) over Bears
Raiders (+11.5) over Packers
Chargers (-7.5) over Bills
Giants (+3.5) over Cowboys
Seahawks (-5.5) over Rams

Bengals (-2.5) over Texans — Houston pulled off a win last week with T.J. Yates under center, but I don’t foresee a repeat performance. The Bengals should load up against the run (though stopping Arian Foster is easy for me to say and hard for them to do) and make Yates beat them with his arm. I’ll take the Bengals, 24-14.

Record in Week 12: 7-9
Record overall: 88-89-2
Record picking Bengals games against the spread: 7-5
Record picking Bengals games straight up: 7-5
