Good Luck: Week 12 NFL Picks

25

In Week 10, I went 6-10 picking games, my third losing week of the year, though I’ve had worse (the 1-12 in Week 6 comes to mind). I picked the Bengals to lose to the Steelers, and they did. I was out of town last week, so I only picked the Bengals game. Yet again, I correctly picked them to lose. Sorry for the pessimism. On the bright side, even after the back-to-back losses, the Bengals are in playoff position, thanks to the rest of the AFC Wild Card crowd being exceptionally mediocre.

The Week 12 schedule features three Turkey Day games, and with the Lions finally fielding a competitive team, two of the three (Lions-Packers and 49ers-Ravens) actually look watchable. I’ll schedule my food-coma-induced nap for during the Dolphins-Cowboys game.

Packers (-6.5) over Lions
Cowboys (-7.5) over Dolphins
49ers (+3.5) over Ravens
Vikings (+9.5) over Falcons
Panthers (-3.5) over Colts
Titans (-3.5) over Buccaneers
Patriots (-4.5) over Eagles
Jaguars (+3.5) over Texans
Jets (-8.5) over Bills
Bears (+5.5) over Raiders
Seahawks (-3.5) over Redskins
Broncos (+6.5) over Chargers
Steelers (-10.5) over Chiefs
Giants (+7.5) over Saints

Bengals (-7.5) over Browns — After relatively strong showings against the Steelers and Ravens, the Bengals look to bounce back against their third straight divisional opponent. I’ll go Bengals 27, Browns 17.

Record in Week 10: 6-10
Record in Week 11: 0-1
Record overall: 75-71-1
Record picking Bengals games against the spread: 6-4
Record picking Bengals games straight up: 5-5
