CINCINNATI GIVES CHALLENGE: cincinnatigives.org/Tender-Mercies
Mission: Tender Mercies transforms the lives of homeless adults with mental illness by providing security, dignity, and community in a place they call home.
Serving Our Community: Tender Mercies provides permanent, affordable housing and services to adults with mental illness experiencing homelessness. We foster an environment that helps residents recover from a life on the streets and rebuild their self-confidence, health, and independence. With the support of many donors, Tender Mercies provides a cost- effective home in Over-the-Rhine and the West End to nearly 200 men and women each year. Through wellness programs, social and recreational activities, counseling and workshops, and aftercare services, residents build a foundation of knowledge and skills they need to become self-sufficient and re-engage with their community.
