Growing up in her family’s jewelry business, Chelsea Mead was practically destined to launch her own custom ring gig. In 2015 she debuted Honey Designs, a custom engagement ring experience with all-inclusive proposal packages. “I took everything that I disliked about a retail store and cut it out,” Mead says.

With Honey Designs’s engagement packages, every couple receives not only a completely customized engagement ring, but also a photographer to capture the proposal, custom florals, and a custom dessert to celebrate the engagement. The base package is $1,500, which includes everything except the center stone of the ring.
Mead also helps clients coordinate wedding bands—which may or may not be custom-made, depending on the client’s preference—and offers group style sessions upon request to educate brides and grooms on the latest trends and options for custom rings.
