Newport Restaurant Closes After Nearly 30 Years
York Street Café, located a few blocks from Newport on the Levee, recently announced that it was closing after nearly three decades in business, another victim of the COVID-19 pandemic. The restaurant, known for its quirky décor and wide-ranging seasonal menu, had been around since the late 1990s, but the Queen Anne style building it was housed in dates back more than 140 years, so it probably won’t remain empty for long.
Catch-A-Fire Plans for New Location
Catch-A-Fire Pizza will open its fourth location in College Hill this fall. The pizza joint, which has locations in Westwood, Lebanon, and Blue Ash, will make its home in the neighborhood’s bustling business district at 5920 Hamilton Avenue, across from Patrick Wolterman Memorial Park.
Swensons Offers Birthday Cake Milkshake
As part of its 90th anniversary celebration this summer, burger joint Swensons Drive-In is offering a birthday cake milkshake. The shake, only available through August 11, blends classic birthday cake flavors with the restaurant’s homemade ice cream. Try it at Swenson’s Greater Cincinnati locations in Oakley and Anderson Township.
