Enjoy getting scared? Here’s some haunted houses to check out to keep your Halloween season ultra-scary this fall. 

 

Land of Illusion

Located in Middletown, Ohio, Land of Illusion Haunted Scream Park has six haunted attractions that will keep you occupied and spooked during your visit. Attractions include five indoor haunted houses and a 45-minute-long haunted wooded trail. In addition to the haunted houses, be sure to stop at the creepy café and the voodoo lounge where you can get halloween cocktails and fall treats.

Dent Schoolhouse 

Don’t be late for class at the Dent Schoolhouse or you’ll be met with the schoolhouse’s janitor, Charlie. Probably the most famous haunted house in the area, this west-side schoolhouse is sure to frighten any guest that goes through their 25-35 minute walkthrough. In addition to the frightening experiences, Dent Schoolhouse operates their “monster midway” which features various photo-ops, food and drinks, four escape rooms, and a gift shop.

USS Nightmare 

Find out the story of Captain William S. Mitchell and his crashed ship by going through this two deck 1934 steamboat located at Newport on The Levee. If you want to take your scares to the next level, consider purchasing the “RIP Experience,” which features a more immersive and hands-on experience during your visit on the ship.

Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt

Named one of the top theme park Halloween events in 2022 by USA Today, Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt offers an experience filled with roller coasters, live entertainment shows, 11 haunted attractions, and plenty of food and drink options for everyone to enjoy.

All Hallow’s Eve Terror Town 

All Hallow’s Eve Terror Town is taking things back to the 19th century with this haunt. Experience an immersive haunt experience, featuring an entire town filled with live music and actors, food, various shops, and 25-35 minute haunted trail.  For more extreme tours, consider purchasing their red or gold bracelet, which allows actors to touch you, throw fake blood or dirt on you, or even lock you in confined spaces. If the extreme experience isn’t not your jam, that’s fine too! All Hallow’s Eve Terror Town also offers standard admission through the trail.
