Quan Hapa’s Kimchi Bulgogi Salad Roll

272

I’m big on bulgogi. For the uninitiated, it’s thin slices of sirloin marinated in a Korean flavor-bomb marinade of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and pepper flakes, and then grilled to traditionally medium-rare. Quan Hapa pairs slices of their bulgogi with house made kimchi; slivers of cucumber, carrot and scallion; rice noodles; lettuce; and mint leaves, packaged in tidy little rice paper bundles. Priced at $7, it’s technically enough for a light lunch, but why not throw in that $4 basket of spicy-salty-crunchy-shrimp chips. It’s not a choice you’ll regret.
