Some weeks get all the goods, and this is one of those weeks. Spanning the gamut of target ages and interests—from foodies to reality show buffs, families to party-hardiers—the only way to categorize this week’s Top Fivers is to simply say they share an element of awesomeness. With such a stellar selection this week, there are no excuses to be bored.

1. CincItalia: May 13–15
The “Cincinnati Italian Festival” kicks off with an adults-only party on Friday night, complete with plenty of grown-up beverages. Fri 6 pm–midnight, Sat 3–11 pm, Sun 1–9 pm. Harvest Home Park, 3961 North Bend Rd., Cheviot, cincitalia.org

2. A Night with Captain Sig & The Hillstrand Brothers: May 9
Ahoy, matey! Join the cast of the “Deadliest Catch”—the Discovery Channel’s popular reality show about crab fishing on the Bering Sea—for an interactive evening of storytelling, never-before-seen video clips, and a Q&A session. See website for performance times. Coney Island, 6201 Kellogg Ave., Anderson Twp., cirquedusoleil.com
