Our Top Vendor Picks for the Crafty Supermarket Holiday Show

129

On November 29, your favorite craft bonanza sets up shop once more in the grand ballroom at Music Hall, welcoming dozens of vendors from around the city and region. Now in its fifth year, Crafty Supermarket has grown at an incredible rate since its first modest show at Northside Tavern. If you can’t find something for somebody on your gift list, then you’re doing it wrong.

We’re especially looking forward to checking out the work from these five vendors:

1. Rock Salt Vintage

Katelin Reeser is formally educated in fine art, so it’s no surprise that she personally creates each of her quiet-but-cool designs. Look for hammered and antiqued brass, unique natural stones like kyanite, pyrite, and howlite, and handmade clasps. rocksaltvintage.com

2. Jodi Lynn’s Emporium of Doodles

With a shop name like Jodi Lynn’s Emporium of Doodles, some hilarity is to be expected here (Hello, Dolly!). Remember to look beyond the cheeky magnets for clever illustrations of familiar places. etsy.com/shop/JodiLynnDoodles

3. Aromi Beauty

Sephora isn’t the only cosmetics game in town. Aromi Beauty creates solid perfumes, eyeshadows, and more from scratch, but we’re especially into the Matte Liquid Lipstick ($17). Guys: It’s a gloss that turns matte. A makeup miracle! Chemist Hannah Follis is clearly using her scientific powers for good.  aromibeauty.com

4. Burrowing Home

Design-minded parents will no doubt understand the challenge of finding simple, classy decor for a kid’s room. Because everything looks like a tacky cartoon, and it’s kind of a bummer. Self-taught artist Kelly Mitchell Gazdowicz has a gorgeous collection of lifelike (but utterly charming) woodland creatures inspired by classic illustrations from the likes of Maurice Sendak and Beatrix Potter. And seriously: What’s cuter than a sleeping squirrel? (Answer: A sleeping baby bunny).

5. Anna Maria Pattern & Designs

Designer Anna Hehman not only sews all the clutches and scarves in her collection (with help from her mom, which is pretty sweet), but she also personally designs each fabric pattern.
