Mariemont Mixer
Looking for a way to mix things up? Head to Mariemont on May 15 for the first Mariemont Mixer, an evening of wine, shopping, and people watching. I recommend stopping by The Wardrobe and Sara Benjamin’s for fashion, Lolli’s and Pomegranate & Lime for gifts and accessories, and treating yourself to Graeter’s ice cream and/or a cupcake from The Sweeterie—the buttermilk white chocolate is my favorite. Fair warning: This mixer may cause your credit card bill and caloric intake to vary.

The City Flea + OTR Summer Celebration
Cincinnati’s favorite curated flea market is back! The City Flea is taking over Washington Park on May 17 in collaboration with the OTR 5K & Summer Celebration. I’ve done more than my fair share of shopping in the jewelry and vintage categories, but you can also expect quirky crafts, handmade home goods, bath and beauty products, and plenty of food from local vendors. Summer is (pretty much) officially here! Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine

‘Cause I’m Happyyyy
Sometimes you need a little reminder that things aren’t so bad. Enter John Derian’s Happy Tote from High Street, the perfect combination of Hardcore Tattooed Sailor and Environmentally Conscious Urban Dweller. Wear it and clap along if you feel like a room without a roof. Tote bag, $38, 1401 Reading Rd., Pendleton
