The 2003 movie, starring Will Ferrell as an orphan who believes he’s one of Santa’s elves, gets a lavish Broadway makeover in Elf the Musical. The impressively pedigreed (though sadly, Ferrell-less) production includes director Sam Scalamoni and Tony-nominated songwriting duo Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.
