Civic Garden Center Offers Outdoor Education for Your Littlest Sprouts

91

Get their little green thumbs dirty this season with a few special autumn offerings from the Civic Garden Center. Toddlers and preschoolers can exercise their mad color and shape identifying skills with walks through the gardens on October 20 and November 17  and older children might find some Halloween costume inspiration during October 17’s ‘Leaf Disguise’ workshop. If they’ve known what they wanted to be for Halloween since July, maybe a corn husk doll making class on November 21 will exercise those imaginations. All classes are $5 per participant, which seems a small price to pay for fostering an early love of the outdoors.

October 20 and November 17, ages zero to four. 10 a.m.–noon, October 17 and November 21, 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., ages 5 and up. Civic Garden Center, 2715 Reading Rd., Avondale, civicgardencenter.org/classes-events/classes/
