It’s summer in Cincinnati, which means it’s only a matter of time before sprinklers just aren’t going to cut it. When the humidity gets so high that no amount of popsicles will curb the whining, you have to hit the pool:

Why let your toddler pee in just one pool when the CRC offers a very reasonably priced membership to 23 of them? From Hartwell to Sayler Park to Northside, there’s definitely one near you. Several locations have spraygrounds, as well, if the thought of stuffing your child into a floatation device makes you go off the deep end.
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati has indoor and outdoor pools aplenty, plus many semi-shaded zero depth entry pools for the smallest swimmers. Summer-only memberships are available at certain locations, and members receive discounted swim lessons as well. And please tell me I’m not the only thirty-something excited about snack bars that sell walking tacos?
Cincinnati also boasts some killer spraygrounds. The interactive water park at Washington Park in OTR is full of surprises (mostly of the jet-of-water-to-the-face variety). Also, it’s free. But it’s worth a few bucks to splash at the sprayground in Colerain Township’s Clippard Park or any of the wet playgrounds at the Great Parks of Hamilton County, including Parky’s Ark in Winton Woods, Parky’s Pirate Cove in Miami Whitewater Forest, and Parky’s Wetland Adventure in Woodland Mound.
