When your brewery turns two years old, it’s only natural to celebrate with beer. Lots of it. So much, in fact, that MadTree will open up their new warehouse next door for this weekend’s MadTree Winter Bonanza, when different beers will be tapped on the hour, every hour, including more than 30 MadTree brews and even more from other Ohio breweries. Looks like you’ve got a lot of drinking to do:
Between pints, go feed yourself at one of the food trucks. Catch-A-Fire Pizza, C’est Cheese, Zombie Dogz, and Red Sesame will all provide sustenance. There will also be live music, including performances from The Comet Bluegrass AllStars, The Tillers and The Cincy Brass.
Admission is free, and all beers are $5 each. Don’t even start to feel guilty about having one more, because MadTree is contributing a percentage of total sales to local nonprofits Cincinnati ToolBank, CityLink Center, Green Umbrella, and Starfire.
If you can really only stop by for one, make it at 6 p.m. for Quaff Bros. Gnappy, MadTree Gnarly brown ale aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels. Because let’s face it, this might be the closest you get to a bottle of Pappy for a while.
MadTree Winter Bonanza, Saturday, January 31, noon – midnight; MadTree Brewing, 5164 Kennedy Avenue, Columbia Township, madtreebrewing.com; Offsite parking and free shuttle from the lot at 5500 Ridge Avenue from Noon until 1 a.m.
