A Better “Green Beer” at MadTree Brewing

Instead of drinking lagers dyed green with food coloring this St. Patrick’s Day, get your hands on a beer that’s green in a different way: With hops. MadTree Brewing has finally canned their imperial IPA, Galaxy High, and it’s loaded with galaxy and topaz hops. Full of tropical citrus and grapefruit flavors, this well-balanced beer goes down smooth and has a bitter finish. MadTree will hold a release party this Tuesday, March 17, at their brewery and the beer will be available in stores the following week. Be careful though: Clocking in at 10.2 percent ABV, one too many pints of Galaxy High might have you seeing little green men.
