Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta
New York Yankees banners fly in this Montgomery strip mall spot. Try the lunch deal: two slices and a drink for $5.99. The crust and cheese are exceptional. brooklynpizzacincinnati.com

Goodfellas
The giant slice is a lunchtime steal—$6, plus  a drink and side salad or breadstick. The sauce is tangy, and the crust is the right mix of crunchy and chewy. The MainStrasse and Over-the-Rhine locations have indoor and outdoor seating (Pleasant Ridge coming soon). goodfellaspizzeria.com

Lucy Blue
The smallest slice we tried, but inexpensive at lunch ($4.75 with drink) and available until 3 a.m. on weekends. The Main Street space is open and airy, with a full bar and craft beer taps. facebook.com/lucybluepizza

Noce’s
Another strip mall pizza parlor, just down the street from Thomas More College. Besides the price (a slice and drink are $4.65 at lunch), the chewy crust is the highlight here. nocespizzapub.com

Ramundo’s
Primarily a to-go spot just off Mt. Lookout Square, this east-side favorite gets the combination of sauce, cheese, and crunchy/chewy crust just right, and at a bargain price (lunch slice/drink: $4.50). ramundospizzeria.com
