Ikea Does Candy

”White Cube.” How very Ikea of you, Ikea.

We just discovered a way to make your trip to Ikea less soul-crushing: Bulk candy.

Before you file upstairs to shuffle along the prescribed showroom floor route, take a spin through the Pick & Mix, which is downstairs by the market (otherwise known as The Place To Get Soft Serve).

There are some old favorites (Swedish Fish, obv.) but also some weird items thrown in there for good measure (we’re looking at you, “White Cube”).

Here are a few of our favs:

candy1
These are called “Forrest Berries Toppings” and they are delightful. They’re chewy, kind of sour, and easy to (accidentally) eat by the thousands.
candy2
To be perfectly honest, we chose this candy on the strength of its name alone: “Rambo Twist.” It tastes like sugar.
candy3
Yes, those are “fried eggs.” They are campy gummy bears.
"Mixed Sour Lips"

These little sugar bombs are vanilla-flavored gumdrops.

And here are a couple that are…just OK:

"Octo-Salt." The name says it all (and steer clear if you don't like licorice).
“Octo-Salt.” The name says all you probably need to know (but definitely steer clear if you don’t like licorice).
