Where: The intimate outdoor patio at Mantra on the Hill, a contemporary Indian restaurant brought to you by the owner / chef Yajan Upadhyaya (Upadhyayay was also former owner / chef of the original Cumin restaurant).

What: Fire eaters + tribal dancers + groovy Far East music + exotic cocktails + late night menu.

Twice monthly Chef Steven Shockley (a former sous chef at Jean-Robert’s Table) features a pop-up dinner called DATE in his Over-the-Rhine apartment. The Sunday dinners focus on a cleverly titled theme such as “Peskytarians: Why be so shellfish with your love?”.

First course: Duck rillette with homemade plum jam and rosemary vanilla toast.
Second: Duck soup with snails and barley
Third: Confit beet, arugula, and duck pate a l’orange
Fourth: Hibiscus and honey laquered duck breast with cauliflower and tortellini
Fifth: Foie gras napoleon french toast with rose whipped cream
