Why: It's a burger for god sakes, one of the most beloved American sandwiches, and the food icon of summer. Using Hudson's recipe I made eight of them for family dinner this past weekend. I sandwiched them between Blue Oven Bakery's English muffins (the best English muffins on the planet) and dressed mine with mayo, lettuce, garden tomato, and grilled onions (see photo). Damn good burger. One caveat: Big 'n rich these are. I could have easily done with a six-ounce burger instead of the eight-ounces called for in the recipe.
