Biggest Thrill: Dagaz Acres Ultimate Zipline
Nota bene: The Dagaz Acres Ultimate Zipline Tour is for “adrenaline junkies and experienced zippers.” This tour takes you to Dagaz Acres’ longest and fastest lines (The Big and Little Nasty, respectively). It also includes a trip across a balancing bridge (think tightrope, but with ropes to hold onto and also a harness) and the Pirate Bridge, a narrow 90-foot-long suspension bridge strung between treetops. Most Unique: Louisville Mega Cavern Mega Zips
There is only one place in the world that you can zip line underground, and it’s in Louisville.
You can spend up to two-and-a-half hours in the former limestone mine zipping from platform to platform. Most Family-Friendly: Big Zipper
The Big Zipper Tour is a little lighter on the wallet, so you can bring along a large group of people and not get bogged down. It also has no age restriction, although you do have to weigh at least 60lbs to ride. This tour goes across five lines and has a little bit of hiking in between. $40 per person. Best Action-Hero Experience: SuperZip
The Hocking Hills SuperZip Tour is about as close to being a superhero as it gets. To even get to the launch pad, you go across elevated walkways and up through tree platforms. Once you reach the top, you fly down the zip line in a superhero position: Think King’s Island’s “Firebird,” but over a cliff and above a river. $109 as part of Canopy Tour, $30 stand-alone, $15 for each additional ride.
