Michael Jackson’s style is just as memorable as his King of Pop moniker, but there’s another Michael who was responsible for piecing together much of MJ’s now-famous style (Thriller jacket, anyone?).
Michael Bush, the man who created the iconic white glove, along with Jackson’s signature military jackets and other looks, details his 25-year career as Jackson’s costumer. Bush showcases hundreds of the original pieces he designed for MJ in his new book, King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson. The author will sign copies of his book at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Pavilion on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Plus, he’ll have a number of costumes on hand as well, which is reason enough for any MJ fan to stop by.
