Heard a couple of the free Friendship concerts today. Caught the Crescendo Arte Children’s Choir from Colombia at Joseph Beth. Great sound and no one minded standing amid the books to watch them perform on the stairs. The Cincinnati Art Museum, on the other hand, really underestimated how many people would show. Hard to guess how many folks were there (at least 200 to 300 hanging over the balcony and standing 3 or 4 deep) in the Great Hall, but the less-than-100 chairs were filled an hour before the concert. Can’t imagine why they didn’t use their perfectly good auditorium on the ground floor where the crowd could have sat and understood what was sung and spoken.
