Over two weeks of musical celebration (July 4-14), nearly 15,000 participants—including more than 350 choirs from about 50 countries— will compete in 23 different musical categories, in choral styles ranging from gospel and jazz to folklore and barbershop. They're vying for the title of Champion of the World Choir Games.

The Fairfield Choraliers featured in the July 2012 article "There's No Crying in Show Choir" were named the World Champions in the Show Choir Category. They gave the opening performance at the Champions Concert at Music Hall on Saturday, joining 10 other Champion choirs for this final performance day of the 2012 Games.
