Braids are timeless, yes. But these days the long beloved look is getting amped up with inventive presentations and bold accessories. With styles spanning from romantic to rocker chic, today’s plaited dos can work for any bride. “They’ve been around forever and will remain a staple,” says Jessie Hoffman, owner of Parlour. “There is a new approach to braiding on trend right now. Mixing in different textures and giving them an undone look is big. Also, excessive adornment with flowers and jewels is popular with brides.” Hoffman and Katie DeLong created three beautiful braided styles, from the bohemian look above, with tousled waves and a disheveled micro fishtail crown, to the sleek glamour and relaxed chic of the looks below.
