You may be confused by our new name for the Bengals blog. Don’t worry, most current players won’t even get it. But Fulcher 2 Stay, as we pointed out in the blog’s intro piece, was a seminal play call in the NFL. It is the basis of the modern-day zone blitz, a scheme prevalent throughout the league. And the man that made it happen was former Bengals safety David Fulcher. We spoke with him about the play call that inspired the name and even got his thoughts on this upcoming season.
