Welp, turns out that A.J. McCarron may not be the messiah after all. He didn’t play poorly in his second career start, but he did just enough to lose the game. Despite the fact that the Bengals face the likely prospect of yet another insufferable first-round playoff exit and that the team blew any real shot at a first-round bye with the loss to the Broncos on Monday night, we manage to not wallow in the negative. There are some positives to be taken from a loss like this. I mean, the Bengals really didn’t look that bad! And they had a real shot to win the game!
